Cask from stillage at the Romsey Beer Emporium. Bright amber with a ring of translucent head; aroma of damp straw and English hops; light, rather than thin, with a gentle pale malt flavour; then some even gentler hops before a dry and biscuity finish. A simple, straightforward bitter, very drinkable, but not one to make you sit up and take notice.

Cask conditioned at Nottingham Beer Festival ’15. Gold with white head. Malty, bready, quite cereal based beer, bread-crust, some bitterness. It’s okay.

Tried at the Nottingham Beer Festival 2015. Deep golden colour with a thin head. Decent fruity and bread aroma, a nice bitter finish. Very easy to drink.

Cask (Vibrant Forest Beer Festival 2015) - Golden in colour. Lemon, grain and some biscuity notes in the aroma. Lemon, honey, grain and some hoppy notes in the taste. Nicely balanced and easy to drink.

Sampled from the cask at the Old Vine in Winchester. A bright, clear, golden amber colour with a white head. Biscuity aroma with fruity hop notes. There is a pleasant mild malt taste with hints of biscuit. Fruity, dry slightly citrus hop taste. Refreshing and complex, with many layers of flavour. British bitter beers are great when they are like this - light, refreshing and complex with a long, dry finish. A great well-made beer.
