A typical Canadian Macro. Nothing special.

Had this at a college party. Woke up three days later with my pants missing. Wretched aftertaste. Like sucking on a mouthful of old pennies seeped in dirty ditch water. Would definitely try again.

Bottle. Pours yellow gold with a white head. Aroma of sweet malts, grain, and slight hoppiness. Flavor is sweet malts, grainy, and a slight bitter finish. Not a good brew, yet drinkable.

I have to rate this from memory, to honor a character Lager that was so good (when it was very fresh.) Distinctive wild hoppy/yeasty bouquet, sweetish malt base, medium pale and foggy/unfiltered in appearance. Drank very cleanly given how it looked, with subtle mingling aftertastes of mild bitterness and grapey fruit. I fricken loved this but it was too unusual for the pencil necks at head Office to grok. Amazing delicate summer beer made with a defiantly Craft ethic.

Wow, this was atrocious. When it comes to bad beers, there are watery beers, and then there are just bad beers. This falls in the latter camp.

It’s really unfair for me to rate this beer as I think I got a skunky six pack (there was dust on the bottles when I bought it). If what I experienced was really what Algonquin tastes like, I cannot recommend the experience.
