unclemattie (4349) - Georgia, USA - JAN 11, 2009
33cl bottle. Clear golden pour, bleached white foamy head, decent lace. buttery, white oak aroma. Plain, pale lager flavor. Sweet malt, very insignificant presance of medicinal hop flavoring. Not a great lager, better than some others. When in Spain, I guess?

FunkyBrewster (1518) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 18, 2008
Pours a light straw golden color with a small white head. Malty and crispy with a some buttery notes. Tiny hint of hops and fruitiness. Mildly fruity start with a strong malt backbone. Crispy and slightly tart before a bitter but smooth finish. Light to medium body and moderate carbonation. Better than other light lagers and much smoother but still bland and bodiless.

Another pale lager to add to my list. Served in a bottle at Don Quijote’s restaurant in Valparaiso. Straw colored, had sort of a sweetness to it that made it unique. It is what it is.

LooseCannon (938) - Norfolk, Virginia, USA - JUN 30, 2008
330ml bottle. Labeled as Alhambra Premium Lager. Pours clear golden in color with thin white head. Aroma and taste of malt and grain with clean finish. Drinkable Pale Lager, nothing to write home about.

FarFromHome (85) - Philadelphia, Alabama, USA - JUN 20, 2008
Bought in Casablanca, Morocco, under the name of "Alhambra Premium Lager". This implies that I have forgotten, or somehow misunderstood, what the word "premium" means. Looks all right, tastes of water and vaguely metallic. Utterly forgettable, but at least it avoids the defects of other beers I’ve had in Morocco.

Sparky (2244) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JUN 12, 2008
Bottle courtesy of Daknole. Next country: Spain. This one was a bit of a gusher when I opened it. Pours a semi-hazy honey color with 2 finger white head. Nose is grass, malt and some floral hops. Taste is sweet malt and grain with a touch of sour hops in the finish. Light-to-Medium mouth feel. Not a bad lager for the region.

drpimento (2419) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 16, 2008
Poured with a white head and a bit of lace. Clear golden yellow color, medium size bubbles. Had a malty, grassy, grainy, a tad bitter, and a hint of butterscotch. Flavor was about the same. Not bad beer. Decent body. Good finish. Could drink more of these. Had it at Cubanitas Restaurant in Milwaukee last night.

jcr (2286) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - APR 25, 2008
Bottle. Big, frothy head that diminishes. Dark yellow body. Looks inviting, but that’s where inviting ends. The aroma is mostly malty, grainy, with a trace of hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of canned sweet corn. Medium body with a slightly sticky finish. Moderate to fizzy carbonation.

blindeyedbetty (189) - Utah, USA - APR 25, 2008
12 oz. bottle pours cloudy apple juice gold color with white head that dissipates quickly without leaving any lacing. Aroma is of apples and bread. Front palate is sweet and yeasty, with a rotten apple middle and a sour finish. Not a spectacular beer, tastes like a nasty Spanish version of Bud and apple juice. Ick.

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 8/20
Radek Kliber (6600) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - APR 13, 2008
Bottle 330 ml 5% version
Appearance: Dark gold , color of ripe corn , bright large, frothy ornamental head placed on top. A bit on weak side.3+
Nose : Plain sweet sugar like aroma , slightly dusty mineral hints.
Flavor/Palate : Thin body , off malty bread like middle with thin finish (bread crust and corn syrup). Lightly bitter aftertaste with some alcohol abound. Over all this beer sounds better on paper than whole makes.
