el spain ish version, thanks ma -- Smell is of usual euro lager .. Big head on the pour, and the lacing is of medium strength .. Dark Yellow Gold .. Refreshing at its best, but does have a sour like back taste. Pass on this beer...

Sigmund (5312) - Tau, NORWAY - DEC 19, 2010
On tap at Tenerife, served ice cold. Pale golden colour, creamy white head. Very moderate aroma, a little malts, citrus and a hint of vomit. "Neutral" pale lager flavour, nothing offensive but not much to make you happy either, some weak hops in the finish.

Gift from Spain. Golden color with white head. Aroma, caramel and toffee. Taste, sweet with notes of caramel, bittersweet finish. Better than I expected, but nothing special.

Pailhead (5066) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - JUN 10, 2009
Bottle: The aroma is a strange combination of sweet grain, straw, metal, and maybe even a hint of strawberry. It pours a transparent gold with a small white head that quickly fades to a ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts lightly sweet with some grainy notes in the background. The sweetness builds into the finish with some light grassiness. It certainly tastes better than it smells, but thatís not much of a compliment. Light bodied with somewhat fizzy carbonation.

Light brown/dark amber bottle. Aroma is grassy with weak hops. Yellowish pour, with a small white foamy head that all but disappears. Flavor is weak malts with a heavy influence of grass. Nearly indistinguishable from any other pale lager.

JPDIPSO (4956) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 11, 2008
Dark straw to light golden in color. Taller, foamy white head. Certainly skunk or actually closer to fox scent. Hints of grain and herbal hops. Sweet chalky flavors with quite some amount of floral hops. Somewhat watery in feel. Sort of sugary and syrupy flavors at time along with the grain and husky. Some hints of alcohol Mid to late quaff drag this one down further.

Maybe my bottle was relatively new, but I thought this was a pretty decent lager from start to finish. A little funkyness in the aroma, apples. Still, a nice hoppiness and one that I found worth trying.

unclemattie (4262) - Georgia, USA - JAN 11, 2009
33cl bottle. Clear golden pour, bleached white foamy head, decent lace. buttery, white oak aroma. Plain, pale lager flavor. Sweet malt, very insignificant presance of medicinal hop flavoring. Not a great lager, better than some others. When in Spain, I guess?

The aroma is like creamed corn with grain. The appearance is slightly hazy gold with a thin head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is typical. Overall itís nothing worth mentioning other than to say itís not good.

Aroma is grassy and beery. The flavor is similar to the aroma along with a hint of sweet malts.
