2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 8/20 jodah52 (206) - USA - APR 6, 2010
A pretty good pilsener - great as a palate cleanser or for on a hot day. Medium gold, clear, with a short-lived white head. Crisp mouthfeel with weak-ish carbonation is well emphasized with mild but noticeable hop bitterness. A bit of carmel malt in the finish, a bit sweeter taste than the malt character would suggest - due no doubt to the addition of corn. Quite reasonable thirst quencher.

Aroma is grassy and beery. The flavor is similar to the aroma along with a hint of sweet malts.

Light, one might as well drink Pellegrino or Perrier. Empty calories with and empty nose and palate.

Bottle. Pours a golden yellow color with thin foamy white head, with some lacing in the glass. Aroma was mostly malts, grain and cereal in the nose, a hint of hop and grasses. Flavor was where I was surprised. Very strong hop flavor, which I did not expect from the aroma. Still mostly malts of a cereal and sweet note. A clean, balanced finish. Very balanced overall. I was not expecting this beer to perform as well as it did. I would get this again.

Pours clear golden with a small, frothy, white head. Good lacing. Aroma is sweet, light crispy, mild citric and grassy. Medium carbonation, light but with good dryness. Flavour has mild crispy malts, light vanilla, a bit of brewing cereal and mild grassy hops. Fine lager.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Sigmund (3709) - Hafrsfjord, NORWAY - DEC 19, 2010
On tap at Tenerife, served ice cold. Pale golden colour, creamy white head. Very moderate aroma, a little malts, citrus and a hint of vomit. "Neutral" pale lager flavour, nothing offensive but not much to make you happy either, some weak hops in the finish.
