Only our master brewers have the competence to create beers following rules set by years of tradition. Alhambra Especial is an excellent example of this. It is brewed with style and dedication, incorporating the knowledge and wealth of experience required to produce such a beer. The presentation is incomparable, different yet modern. The bottle is dressed in gold and white – symbolic of its purity. It projects an image of elegance.

I thought it was the same than the lager normal. Vry hoppy, and for my taste it is a PIlsener. A little tiring, but good one.

Soft pale Lager, much better from Tap than from bottle, but good. Available especially in the south of Spain

courtesy of Antonio Rey Ruiz - clear bright golden colour under a foamy white head;; solid grassy nose with a touch of dust and pepper; good malt body, some sweetness and slightly oily; moderate bitterness before a quite long herbal finish - great balance

Bottled. Fizzy golden larger, again with a generous fizzy white head. Lovely larger malts and hops in this one. Refreshing and crisp and certainly distinguishes itself again its little brother the premium larger.

A clean tasting lager for those hot spanish afternoons. Little hop aroma and almost no malt. Pours light straw and clear with small bubbles and white head. Taste is delicately malty and subdued bitterness, even more than typical european mega brews. It has a light body, pleasant maltiness and when its cold its super refreshing. I was downing it with tapas in Granada at the time, and it went down well.

Botella de 330ml. Copa Pokal. Saboreada muchas veces. Color dorado y apariencia filtrada. Espuma blanca y correcta retención. Algo de encaje en las paredes. Aromas de maltas pálidas y cereal dulce. El sabor es malteado con un suave y gentil dulzor. Leve toque de lúpulo en el intermedio. Cuerpo ligero a medio y carbonatación moderada. La textura entre aguada y densa. Final suave. Facil asimilación. 330ml bottle. Pokal glass. Enjoyed many times. Golden color & filtered appearance. White froth & correct retention. Some lacing on sides. Pale malt & sweet cereal aromas. Flavor is malty with smooth & gentle sweetness. Slightly hoppy touch in the middle. Light to medium body. Moderate carbonation. Texture is watery to dense. Smooth finish. Easy drinkability.

One of the better Spanish beers. Much more powerful than the most beers in Spain. Actually it is quite bitter and hoppy.

Bottle. Cool golden appearance with a steady head. The aroma is yeasty, slightly sweet and toffee, and the flavour is very dry and slightly chemically burn’t toffee. Overall a good Spanish beer.
