2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 DarkElf (2938) - La Jolla, USA - SEP 16, 2008
11-Sep-08 (330-ml bottle: Purchased 09-Feb-08 for $1.69 at Ledger’s Liquors in Berkeley, CA) This is a malty beer, but it certainly lacks richness and depth, and the overall flavor doesn’t inspire thoughts of quality ingredients. The entry is uninteresting, mixing toasty bread and graininess, but it manages to finish with a touch of smoky roast. Medium-bodied and pleasantly dry on the palate. The nose is bready and papery, far less malty than the flavor. Dark-brown in color with ruby highlight and signs of good clarity at the edges. A small, light-tan head settles to a thin layer and bubbly ring, leaving a fair amount of spotty and stringy lacing. Not a bad beer, but not interesting.

Clean dark lager lacking in the flavor department. Pours dark mahogany with a wispy tan head. Some lace. Aroma shows light earthy malt and a hint of grassy hops. Nice looking but lacks substance. Still, a decent beer with light dishes.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 KoNrRiI (56) - Århus, DENMARK - DEC 8, 2011
0.33 bottle.Aroma of dark roasted malts, light alcoholic scent. Nice almost black liquid topped with an average brown head. Taste is sweet with a distant bitterness appearing somewhere on the way, yet in general way too soft. Light body and thin texture, average carbonation and short finish. One cannot call it a bad beer but an overkill in wateriness seems to be the main flaw of this beer impairing its taste and palate.
