2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl bottle. Pours golden with very gentle bubbles and a thin white head which disappears fairly quickly. The nose is a bit sweetcorn but not too much and quite a big malt profile. The taste is more of the pale malt with a light lemon/grass note on the end. The palate is medium bodied and textured with a clean finish though the finish drops more quickly than expected.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
While the Alhambra fortress of Grenada is certainly something worthwhile to experience, the same can't be said about this eponymous beer from that ancient city. Southern Spain's regional alternative to Mahou, perhaps a better option than Sevilla's Cruzcampo. A light and bland pale lager, pours a bright yellow with spritzy head, smells sweet and flowery. Minimal hops or bitterness throughout, but has a slightly more enjoyable sweet malt flavor compared to Spain's other industrial brews, and is usually fresh-tasting. Still weak in every category. Drinks like water, good for quaffing down with a meal due to it's light body. Probably cheaper than water in most cases too; points for being economical if nothing else.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Smells like nothing. Pale amber in colour, the foam is bubbly and white. The cheap tropical pilsner taste is very standard, and the aftertaste is too long and sticky.

Well it’s light and flavorless. Quick finish and a little bit sweet. No hops and only a bit carbonated.

Litre bottle from Tesco, Burnley. Pale golden with a small head. Dull uninspiring lager with little taste and a general small sweetness.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
2nd beer of an evening tasting Lager Beers with my son on 15th Sep 2014. 330ml bottle: BBD 25th Oct 2015. Golden and bright with a full white head, typical lager look really. No aroma worthy of note and the taste was pretty none descriptive too, sweet malty feel to the whole experience but there is nothing to set this apart from thousands of other such brews from around the world.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear golden coloured beer. white foam head wich disappears quickly and a medium carbonation. Malty aroma and taste with a smooth finish. Pretty decent regular lager. Nothing special, but decent.

Bottle from morrisons. Golden beer with large frothy head. Aroma of tinned sweetcorn. Taste is pale malts, a little sweet and a hint of hops. Soft on the palate. Standard stuff.
