Green 330ml bottle. Dark golden pour with a considerable, full sized white frothy head which is long lasting. Lots of clinging sticky lacing stuck on the glass. Smells pretty clean with a light grass hop scent. medium sweet malt character with bread and grain notes. Citrus hop accents, imparting a light lemon note to the brew. Some lemony and grassy aftertastes. Medium body, medium carbonation. Does not show its 6.4% strength and remainsa approachable and drinkable, and looks good in the process.

Tasted 10/4/15. BB 06AG16. Poured a crystal clear dark amber with a one-finger white foam head that diminished quickly to a collar that laced poorly. Carbonation low and fine. Aroma strongly of sweet malt. Taste starts semi-sweet then becomes tarty on the tongue. Light body. Finishes with a lingering strong tarty bitterness on the tongue and a bit tarty on the back of the mouth. Not that impressed.

Bottle 0.33L. Clear, deep golden body with average, frothy, white head, mostly lasting with some lacing. Moderate malty (bread) aroma. Moderate sweet and light bitter flavour; some extra bitterness in the finish. Light-to-medium body with watery-to-oily texture; average carbonation

-short review- a pale lager similar to all other pale lagers. Corn sirup finish and fuller palate.

Light copper beer with a thick foamy bright white head--a little darker than a typical pilsener. Nose is mild with some light funk, a bit of soap, and a touch of sweetness, but you need to search for all of it. Flavor is rather sweet with some corn syrup and white sugar giving way to a mild bitterness on the finish. It doesn’t have the wet cardboard taste of some beers in this style, but really is overwhelmingly sweet. Decent, not great.

Cerveza muy fresca, entra perfecta en días de calor, de las Gran Reserva españolas, con la Red Vintage de Estrella Galicia, la pondría como la mejor.

So many miserly reviews of this... in context it’s a lovely lager which balances a honeyed maltiness with a nice saline tang. Medium carbonation. Very little hop aroma or bitterness but that’s not what most people are looking for in a strong Spanish lager.
