Pale Lager month installment number 30: I knew at the beginning of "Pale Lager Month" that this would be my final installment, one of the single most anticipated beers in my fridge. Little did I know that I would have to enter it into the database to rate it.... it is also with great joy that the generous soul who gave me this can of beer just so happens to be the Star for a Day today, thank you $am (ketchepillar) for saving me this one All American Premium Lager, it is with great respect and anticipation that I imbibe this beverage. The beer is really quite attactive in the glass, a nice pale yellow color neeth’ a big billowy tight white head. Boy the aroma on this is something a little fresh tomato, a lot of corn (both the sweet and tortilla kind), a mild mustiness, and an even milder alcohol note. The beer tastes better than it smells for sure, pretty sweet all around but the light fruitiness compliments this. There is a mild zing of hop bitterness here but the flavor all together falls off at the finish like a glass of damned water. It’s a pretty clean tasting beer.
