Draught at Stearin, Göteborg. Dark brown color with low brown head. Aroma from brown malt giving a toasty, burnt popcorn feeling up front followed by coffee and small nuances of chocolate. Body and flavor bit raw and undeveloped. Medium body with dryish bitter feeling from the brown malt again, along with coffee notes. Medium sweet. This will become a lot more pronounced with some aging. Great beer and pretty unique at that.

DWG; Bottle 0,33 L. Pours almost black with a large, lasting, frothy to creamy, lacing and tan head. Nose is heavy roasted malt and coffee, chocolate, vanilla and dark, dried, ripe fruits. Taste is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a lasting, warming, coffee and chocolate finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily to creamy, carbonation is soft. "Rich yet balanced", indeed.

Black with creamy tan head. Aroma is dark roasted coffee, dark fruits, leather, tobacco and some floral notes. Rich and creamy palate. Aftertaste is dry, espresso, dark fruits, dark chocolate and a very rich dark ending. Overall: Truly a black beer. Excellent.

Smooth drinking. A bit too burnt for my taste. Lots of taste, especially coffee. Feels thin in aftertaste, only bitter and burnt remains.

Keg at Draft House. Lervig branding. Black with a big foamy tan head. Aroma is smoke, coffee, light hoppy pine. Good balance here. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is light chocolate and coffee, smokey sweetness. Smooth as you like. Very nice, really drinkable.

Coffee, milk chocolate, ash, licorice and roasted malts in the aroma. Black with a brown head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Full body with a soft carbonation. Overall a well balanced, rich flavoured Imperial Porter, but the ash note is not something i am a fan of unfortunately.

Fra fad, Søernes Ølbar. Stoflig brunsort sag med et cremet, lysebrunt skum. Fløjlsfed. Lakridset. Svedsket. Fyldig. Ristet. Ok bitter. En Imperial Porter efter min smag.
