This beer is a collaboration between All In Brewing and Brouwerij De Molen. A rich Swedish whisky oak aged imperial stout that we brewed with some sweet and salty liquorice. Drink it today or in a couple of years. Do not fear the dark side!

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque thick, rich black with a brown head. Rich, thick aroma of licorice and subtle roast. Body is extremely thick, bordering syrupy. Heavy roast and chocolate but pretty drinkable alright. 191214

Appearance: Black as the deepest dungeon. A nice big beige head that leaves a fine lacing.
Aroma: Oak, chocolate and a bit fruity.
Palate: Medium to full body. Tad sweet with an ok bitterness. Average to soft carbonation.
Taste: Oak, rich licorice, chocolate and a bit fruity.
Overall impression: Powerful taste in this one. But felt a bit “sharp”. Should have stayed longer in the basement. Well masked alcohol.
Personal stats: Bottle from Systembolaget web order, Sweden

33cl bottle @ home. Pours black with the tiniest brown head leaving laces. Aroma is vanilla, wood, liquorice, dark chocolate, coffee and a hint of coconut. It’s medium sweet, slighty bitter. Full bodied with an oily texture, soft carbonation. The finish is endless with coffee, vanilla and coconut. This one surprised me.

Bottle. Opaque black beer with a brown head. Aroma is malty with notes of caramel, soy sauce, molasses, chocolate and earth. Flavor is caramel, chocolate, molasses, vanilla and alcohol. Decent RIS but still needs to mature.

12oz bottle via Secret Santa Winter 2013/14. Looked like motor oil out of the bottle, very thick, opaque, jet black with just wisps of beige head. Nose has a ton of molasses and licorice, chewy toffee, some coffee bean, some malt, some toast, hints of booze, dried fruits too. Flavor follows, big thick sweet molasses, some booze, vanilla, brown sugar, a little toasted coconut, raisin, licorice. Thick, syrupy finish but certainly not cloying.

330 ml bottle courtesy of Alex. Thanks. Pours an opaque black color with a small brown head that has fair retention. The aroma features dark chocolates, anise and woody vanilla. The taste is really quite bitter with bitter dark baking chocolates and bitter black walnuts in the forefront, filling in the sides and back is vanilla and licorice. The palate is full and smooth with soft carbonation. Finishes long and bitter. Overall; One of the more bitter RIS iv’e tasted recently, its quite good if you like that sort of thing--and I do.
