2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 madmitch76 (9867) - , Essex, ENGLAND - DEC 29, 2012
27th April 2011 Old bottle from Kulminator, purchased 2008 when it was already old. Clear amber beer, small white head. Mild carbonation. Oxidised malt, not too strong. Trace amount of citrus left. Dry finish. Suspect this was a dull beer when it was released and ageing it has not improved it!
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Bart (2915) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 17, 2006
Kulminator, a few years over time I think. Hazy white to amber coloured, some light carbonation and an average white head. Heavy sweet, madeira aroma. Full palate, sweet taste with again the somewhat older taste. Still little fruity near the end. Not bad, but would probably be much better when it where a younger version.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JorisPPattyn (7306) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - NOV 24, 2005
Dark gold with easily missed pistaccio shine; medium white head, fast gone. Very coloured malts nose, as in a functioning brewery. Maybe a bit old (no way of telling). Some oxidation, dry pine branches aroma. Oxydated taste, bit of liquorice, especially retronasal. No coriander, no citrus at all traceable. Sweet with just a little wheat-like sourish lining. Aftertaste is quite sweet - malty. Sticky, without really cloying. Strange. This is lightyears removed from Dentergemse witte which is what it should be by all reason. Prematurely aged? Probably, but can’t explain everything. But it is far from bad...
