Great looking pour. Aroma of spice and vanilla. Oily mouth feel. One of my favorite All Saints.

Draught @ brewery: Had a pint at the brewery and took a growler home. This one pours a fairly clear amber color. There was about a finger or so of an off-white head that didn’t linger long but left some lacing. Decent aroma. Mainly caramel malts, with some hints of earthy and floral hops. The taste is very good. Caramel malts, but no sweetness. Really well balanced with the hops. A bit of earthiness, some faint fruits. Nice mouthfeel. A very solid beer.

Best beer of four at the bocktown monaca. Barely any smell at all, just clean beer. A little darker than a pale lager. Not much co2 in this brew. Taste is not hoppy, odd slaggy backbone. No real bitterness, at first at least. Does have a few manners. Bitterness tries to build but never quite gets there. Yes, best of the others tonight.

Amber, off white cover. Aroma is light toast, hints of cocoa, solid. Taste is the same, not an overt hoppiness, but a balancing bitterness. Good.

This poured a murky amber color with a light tan head. Aroma was toasted malt, some bready notes, and some light citrusy hops. Flavor was much the same , a decent balance between malt and hops buit nothing outstanding. Remdined me a lot of Elliot Ness.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2014 My first beer from Jeff since he started his new brewery and this one was not like any of the old Red Star standards that I recall. +++ Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a dark caramel color with a large foamy orange-beige head that lingered forever and left good lacing. The aroma was cola, faint cherry, dust, light molasses, nut and vague fruity hops. Fairly complex on the nose but not overly strong. The flavor was toasted caramel, nut, wood and light vague fruity hops. The finish was long and dry with nut and wood lingering. Medium body. Decent.
