Strawberries and sour plum. Hazy brown pour with ok head and lacing. Tangy finish. Some light citrus. Should be a sour not Belgian strong.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hazy brown color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, wood, nuts, strawberries, brett, bacteria. Taste of caramel, spices, wood, strawberries, and a tart finish.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This gets classified as a Belgian strong ale, but really should be a sour. The base is a quad, but it is then aged and soured. Aroma is quite nice, slight sweet strawberry with some lactic sour. Taste is a lactic sour, maybe 4 of 10 sour, strawberry slight sweetness with a bit of a band aide funk finish. It is all lactic until the finish and then a weird band aide funk. Not malty, which I would expect if it is the Four. Full flavored and complex, but body doesn’t seem like a quad. Really quite nice overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Very complex aroma, with sour and tart notes mixing with molasses and a good amount of strawberry. Quite sour, pushing slightly into acetic territory, but still very good. Strawberry aroma and molasses mouthfeel. One complex beer!

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This poured a murky purplish brown with a beige head. Aroma was of brown sugar, dark fruits, lots of vanilla oaky character, chocolate, pretty complex. Flavor just as complex, deep caramel malts, brown sugar, strawberry and raspberries, vanilla oak and chocolate, awesome.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
375 ml bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a darker brown with a red tint. The aroma has nice strawberry character, but also hits hard with sourness. The tadte is sweet strawberry and lasting sourness. Really tasty beer. Medium to high carbonation with a big body. When the cork came loose on this beer, it bounced off the ceiling!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Belgian Strong? nope. Sour? yes. A strong berry aroma, with a bit of grape character. pour is a hazy reddish color. large white head with tiny bubbles. Taste is a lightly puckering, slightly peppery berry mix up. Definitely tart, but the fruit character comes through without any off flavors (had a lot of bad strawberry beer lately). Some tannins and wood character with a light astringency come through after a few sips. damn good.
