375mL c&c shared at Woodshop 8. Pours a full haze light pink. Acid cut foam. Nose is excellent cherry pit, soft, almost perfectly in line with Cantillon Lou Pepe Kriek. Extremely impressive. Taste is plastic, weak, minerally, lime peel. Weaker palate. Strange.

Shared by Thorpe429 alongside several other Allagash sour/wild ales. Thank you very much, Mike! The beer is pinkish in color with a small and fleeting white head. The nose carries cherries, wild yeast, oak. Light lactic and acetic presence. Oak and cherries all the way. Light in body and quite drinkable. Refreshing. Belgium still reigns supreme when it comes to fruit lambics, but I did enjoy this beer. A solid effort from Allagash. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-15-2012

Bottle at home, courtesy of Andre. Thanks man!! Pour is hazy orange with a slight red tint and a small white head that quickly dissipated. Potpourri, nutmeg, cherry pie, somewhat funky, dusty, tart fruit, citrus, and biscuit in the aroma. Taste is citric acid, tart cherries, big spice, cherry pie, graham crackers, and fresh fruit. Light body with soft carbonation. Seriously tasty stuff and super fresh tasting with great balancing acidity.

Bottle @ Stephen’s house, courtesy of bardwashrind. Muchas gracias, Andre! Pours a hazy, grapefruity reddish orange appearance with an off white head. Super rich, juicy, rich wild cherry, herbal/a touch woody, pretty funky, cherry skin, fairly spicy, a bit oaky aroma. A touch watery, wild cherry, tangy herbal, light barnyard, moderately tart, light vanilla, just a little cheesy, a bit funky flavor. Not as much going on as the Coolship Cerise, but a delicious beer nonetheless. It was kind of like eating cherries off of a wild tree on a farm. Fun stuff.

Pour out of 375 mL bottle, dark reddish pour, very hazy, with thin to no white head, aroma brought notes of big funky cheese, hints of earth, grain, vanilla, lemon, nice sour cherry. Taste is a mix of big cherry, pie like notes with some slight sweet notes of vanilla, biscuit, bread, hints of grain, finishing fairly sweet, slightly sour, cherry dry notes.

Served in an Allagash coolship tumbler. Nose is bright cherries and some mild earth. Cherry isn’t overpowering, but is quite nice. Moderately sour and fairly dry.

Bottle. Pours pinkish with a white head. Bretty and funky, light cherry sweetness, and a dirty funky oaky finish. Good stuff.

Bottle shared at tasting at my house. Pours pinkish red with a white head. Nose and taste of dirt covered cherries, earth, light cherry vinegar, oak and funk. Moderate acidity. Medium body. Good balance.

Bottle at James’ place for a tasting. Pours a hazed pink to red grapefruit juice color with a thin white head. Smells of cherries, packing peanuts, dirty brett and bugs, and dirt. Medium bodied, full of juicy cherries. Tastes like cherry pie filling. Light tartness into the finish, dusty cherry notes, cherry skins, funk and musk. Lovely.

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2012 Bottle courtesy of James at his November 2012 tasting. Pours a hazy, bright reddish body with white lacing. Aroma is pure cherry chlorine, indoor pool - that’s my jam, yo. Amazing and strongly reminiscient of Cantillon. Mouthfeel is tart with notes of sour cherry, light tart berries, and funk.
