Pours a light pinkish color with similar colored head. Cherries on the nose, strong aroma of tart cherries, with a little funk mixed in; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with tart cherry and dry. I was pleasantly surprised how much the fruit comes through on this one.

Bottle. Pours a hazy ruby orange with no head. The aroma is strong funk, cherry skin, wood, spice, cardamom. Thin mouth, light cherry, funky, wood, spice, light finish, very nice.

Bottle, 2012 vintage. Pumpkin-orange and nearly opaque, with a head of white that fizzles away quickly. Funky nose -- lots of barnyard, a little white vinegar, tart cherries, some lavender. Flavor has an almost pit-like bitterness, along with a little almond and cinnamon. Cherries aren’t too pronounced, and the funk and sharp oak are well-blended. Creamy medium body, very mild CO2. Very tasty and complex stuff, though a little more bitter than I like.

Bottle shared by jackl. Thanks! Clear pink, medium sized frothy off-white head. Good retention. Aroma of dry tart cherries, raisin, citrus, pale malt, hay, mild vanilla and wood. The taste is hay, earth, strong tart cherries, oak, funk, lingering sour finish. Medium bodied, lingering tartness.

Bottle via trade. Lovely reddish pink pour with a small white head. Very sharp nose. Lemon curd and plenty of oaky funk. Acidic red berry skin. Hints of honeycomb and leaf pile earthiness. Pretty tart flavor. Aggressive. Mashed red berry squash. Sweet cherry juice. Accents of vanilla. Sharp but shows some nice subtlety. Zippy, surprisingly easy to drink given the profile. Nice.

Bottle @ tasting. Pours a hazy orange beer with a small white head on top. Aroma is pooey, funky, oaky, slight tart fruit in the back. Flavor is stringent tart, fruity. There’s some manure in there, both aroma and taste. Some perfume notes as well. Decent stuff.

Refrigerated bottle corked and capped green bottle, bottled on January 23, 2012, says 8.1% abv, IP trade with travlr. Clear peach with very little head. Aroma is tart, medium body, low carbonation and very little lacing. Taste is tart, some oak, and some cherries. Really glad to get to try this, but a little underwhelmed.

Sampled at Franks [’13-’14 Backlog]. Pours a light ruby red with light white lacing. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with nice tartness upfront and notes of cherry funk, cherry jam, indoor pool, cinnamon and pie.

Bottle kindly shares by Leighton, Bruce and company: Served in a Tumbler: Hazy murky pinkish. No foam left when I taster it. Aroma has a good Lambic-a-like aroma: wild yeast, light wood, cherries, funk, light lacto, some barn and some tartness. Flavour is tart, cinnamon, red fruit, yoghurt, creamy, light dry, light sour, light barnyard. Very tasty! Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium to a bit fuller bodied.
