Bottle. Light amber/cherry colored pour, no carbonation and an aroma of tart cherries. Flavor is light sweet sugary cherries, very tart and dry on the finish.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy sweet and lightly tart cherry with light lemon and some light funky notes. It pours a a dull pinkish-orange with a small pinkish-white head that quickly fades to a thin ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of sweet cherries. The finish quickly turns to moderate-heavy lemon, light oak, and tart cherry.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Ron! Muddled orange & amber with a quickly fizzling white head. Aroma is tart & lactic forward. Sour lemons, cherries, light apple, with a mild vinous & slight oak character backing it all up. Faint sweat sock funk in the finish. Taste is sour lacto without much burning acidity at all. Light tart cherries & some sour lemon flesh. A touch of oak & a biting, slight tartness in the finish. Not much funk in the flavor, this one is mostly just tart. Dry finish, very nice stuff.

Bottle. Beautiful pink-red-orange pour with white head. Aroma of cherry cheesecake, light cherry aroma, nice funk, spice (cinnamon), cherry pie. Flavor is quite tart, just under puckering, tart cherry fruitiness, spice. Palate is dry, with sparkling carbonation. Very nice.

375ml bottle: It opened with a nice "pop". This one pours a red tinged golden color. There was really no head on it and no lacing. Definitely a musty/funky aroma. Some cherry in there too. Interesting taste. Just a bit of the cherry, which gets lost in a sour somewhat lemony citrus taste. Maybe some spices, but they are subdued. A very complex brew. Smooth going down. I’m glad I bought 2.

Bottle - Pours pale pink with a ring of white head. Nose has lots of sweetness, gentle tartness, with bright cherry. Lovely. Taste has some light plastic and leather, with a gentle SweetTart tartness, cherry pie, and light mineral and yogurt. Fizzy and effervescent, with a light body. Very, very tasty.

Huge thanks to BobZ for the bottle. Bottled on 01/23/2012. 375 ml C+C bottle into a HF wine glass. Pours a deep red body that appears burnt orange in front of light. A finger of whispy foam clings to the sides for the whole ride. Really looks quite lovely. S - Huge cherry jam blast with faint notes of funk lingering in the background. Buttery oak barrels and some cinnamon spice. This smells amazing. T - Layers of tart cherries and smooth cherry jam blend seamlessly into some musky funk and wonderfully buttery smooth oak. A lingering acetic bite on the finish. Sour cherry pie here, really frickin delicious. Improves as it warms up too. Mouth feel is coating yet spritzy. Really surprised that the abv is this high, not noticeable in the least bit. O - One of the better American wilds I have tried. This is really something special. The funk is just right for being nearly 20 months old and the huge wall of tart cherries against the buttery oak is just perfect. Can compete with most authentic Belgian krieks.

Bottle shared by Matt at local tasting, pours a light pink almost peach like color with a thin head, the aroma was packed full of sourness with the fruit really coming through as well, the flavor was really nice, good tart front end with a nice mouthfeel that flowed into the fruit in the finish, a good funky finish as well, really impressed with this one.

Tart cherries. Slightly sweet. Not much funkiness, but it has the somewhat warming quality of true kriek down. Good stuff.
