bottle shared by tom10101, thanks bro. pours hazy pale golden with a small white cap, some retention and lacing. doughy and spicy toasted caramel malts, quite buttery, but enjoyable toffeeness, spices, bourbony, vanilla, touch of mint and ashes, grass, pepper. bretts and other wild bugs - light and pleasant acidity. lively to average carbonation, medium body - oily, moderate sweetness, gently tart, lightly astringent, tannic and grassy-spicy finish. never boozy. very nice barrel-aged sour.

Bottle (375 ml). Thanks to Daniel for this one! Hazy golden/orange with a small quickly disappearing white head and no lacing. Aroma is of bourbon (not overpowering), butter, vanilla brettanomyces, caramel and light fruits (peaches and apricots). Taste is slightly sweet with bourbon, butter, wood, vanilla, light tartness and caramel. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Good balance. Decent drinkability for the style. Enjoyable. Good, but not great.

Pours a clear golden with no head. Aroma is of some salted caramel and butter. No hot bourbon, but you know this is where it is coming from. Taste is lightly tart and sweet with again some buttery caramel and vanilla flavors. Maybe some fruits also but they would have to be covered in honey and not too recognizable. Carbonation level was medium (good) and body was light to medium. Really good!

Bottle from the source. Cloudy golden orange color, small whitebhead that settles quickly. Aroma of peaches in white wine, apricot, vanilla, caramel. Taste is softly sour summer fruit, vanilla, citrus, subtle edge of whiskey. Very nice.

Bottle @ Armin’s apartment, courtesy of lukaduke. Thanks so much, Luke!!! Pours a bright, somewhat hazy orange appearance with a thin white head. Cheesy, citrusy, light bourbon, funky, fairly oaky, lemon spritzy aroma. Quite tangy, rich whiskey, orange citrusy, somewhat cheesy, a bit boozy, fairly lemony flavor with a bit of booze on the finish. Fun beer but to be perfectly honest, I’m not huge into bourbon sours. Thanks again, Luke, for a seriously fun beer.

Pour out of 375 mL bottle, big thanks to Aaron for the pour! Clear orange pour with no head, aroma brought notes of big bourbon, slight vinegar, touch of bread, caramel, vinegar comes through more. Taste is a mix of white fruit, vinegar, toffee, lots of bourbon, hints of oak, finishing bitter, oak, more bourbon.

Bottle with friends courtesy of Aaron. Thanks man!! Pour is hazy orange with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Green apples, sweet tarts, pears, biscuit, somewhat funky, lemon peel, citrusy, and doughy aroma. Taste is huge orange juice, lemon peel, lightly spicy, pithy, citrusy, a touch spicy, doughy, and biscuity with a medium sour finish. Slick mouthfeel with high carbonation. Nice stuff!

Pours a rich copper color with a finger of fizzy foam. The aromas that rise up as you pour this beer is TOP NOTCH ! Big funky stonefruit, nectarine, peach and a kiss of dusty old bourbon barrels. The palate follows the nose nicely with great balance between fruit funk and boozy bourbon character. Damn fine beer that is refreshingly tart, funky leather. A touch sweet in the mid to late palate but overall a phenomenal beer !
