Dec 2008 bottle. Thanks to Glouporogorourogolorp for this exceptional brew. Poured out a dirty murky dull orange brew as I was sharing this, I got the bottom section of the bottle. Killer aroma. Vanilla, yeast, plummy slight oxidization, endless sweetness, touch of booze, caramel coated apple, some sort of cherry. The taste is also very good but not as good as the aroma. Candy, light alcohol, plenty of muted citrus, buns, orange rind spice, bit of oxidization that does not bother me what so ever. Some boozy inhalations, hits of lightly spicy yeasts, peanut shells on the sickly belch that just crashed out of my mouth, more things. k, i’m fairy drunk at this point and highly relying on spell check to do it’s job... unlike last night where spell check was obviously hammered. YOU DO NOT DEFINE ME YOU BASTARD! This was a very tasty beer but i would think that I waited to long... still - highly enjoyable and I know my guests really really dug this beer so it was worth just that much more to me. Dammit.. I’m drunk again and I am sick of seeing red squiggles everywhere that need a fixin’

Poured a hazy yellow color with a white foamy head. Lots of alcohol and bourbon in the aroma. Also some yeasty notes with some banana and orange. Taste is very flavorful and creamy. The bourbon is noticeable, but the alcohol is well hidden. Some malty flavors and fruity notes. Aftertaste is smooth creamy and fruity. Overall very interesting, I was worried about what a bourbon barrel tripel would taste like, but I like it!

Pours a very light yellowish orange color. Very hazy! Has a pretty sweet white foamy head. Smells of wheat with some bourbon flavors mixed in! Some yeast and a bit of orange as well. Taste is different. I have never had a non stout beer aged in bourbon barrels. Little bit of the wheat at the beginning with the bourbon definitely present. I kinda like. Intrigues me.

750ml bottle from Julio’s.
Appearance : Clear pale amber.
Aroma : Light malt with light bourbon. Light yeast and light vanilla.
Taste : Light vanilla with nice citrusy and malty notes. Light spices. Some wood.
Overall : Interesting but nothing very special. Nice light wood and light vanilla/bourbon. Nose a bit better than taste.

The beer is a great dark gold with just a hint of orange. It has a nice bubbly finger head that is white lasting about 2 minutes, then leaving behind a light white filmy head. The lacing is great. The aroma is pretty light, wish it was a little more full. There are some light flowers with just the tiniest scent of oak. The taste is great the frone end is what you expect of a triple light and hoppy and floral and drinkable. Then at the end it comes burst with more flavor with some really nice oak nots. The feel is great and nice lasting feel. It is highly drinkable.

This big beer was a draft pour at The Ale House in Amesbury, MA. It came in the glass a hazy gold with fizzy white head and lots of fine lacing in the glass. Nose of whisky and spices. Medium body and a very smooth mouthfeel considering all that alcohol The flavor is rich and shows some clove. A very drinkable beer.

On cask. It is fruity and bourbonny, not the best mix for the Tripel but passable.
