Feb 6, 2009 Sllightly hazed golden pour with creamy white head and lace. Light spice but not much of the bb but a hint. Clovish flavor with a hint of light bannana and a pretty warm abv. Palate and carbonation are solid as a dollar. A nice fruity after taste followed by the nice abv warmth. Very nice beer.

~Nice fruity aroma, banana, clove, and spicy bourbon alcohol.
~Spicy flavor that has a nice bourbon finish. Can taste the oak.
~Clean medium feel.
~Complex brew. lots of spice and yeast.

Jan 30, 2009 MN Ratebeer Winter Gathering, January 10, 2009. Courtesy of Skyview. Gold color with a thin head. Light spicy nose. Really interesting flavor profile here... Starts with a light bourbon and oaky vanilla. Turns to coconut. Finshes up with banana and yeast. Pretty sweet.

Jan 27, 2009 Hazy golden golden. Very big bourbon notes with some oranges, buttery notes and chalkiness in the nose. Big, buttery, boozey and bourbony with some underlying spices. Bourbon lovers indulge. Non-lovers no need to try.

Jan 26, 2009 Bottled March 2008. Dark golden color with a very tame whitish cover. Bourbon smoke and wood aroma with undertones of tripel yeasty spices. Taste is even better, nice vanilla oak barrel mellowing on top of a potent spicy tripel. Hints of smoke and alcohol warming in the finish.

Jan 25, 2009 Bottle from Wade’s Wines in Westlake Village, CA. I thought the Jim added a sweet and full flavor to this Tripel, while the oak smoothed it out. There were also distinct flavors of pear and apple. Great palate, great taste, very filling... Great brew.

Jan 24, 2009 [Bottle] Pours a cloudy gold with a medium whitish head. Aroma is lots of wheat malt, some oak, and a little bit of bourbon. Flavor is quite tart from the wheat malt with a bit of sunscreen type flavors and some vanilla from the oak aging. Really wasn’t expecting to like this beer from the oak aging, but it was actually quite nice. It earned itself some style points.

Jan 23, 2009 Received through Secret Santa and shared at the MN Gathering II. Pours a semi-hazy golden pale brew with a nice off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing and a thick white ring. Aroma of bourbon, sweet pears, citrus zest, a touch of coriander and vanilla. Taste is almost full bodied with flavors of golden grain malt, candi sugar, yeast funk, pears, a hint of cloves, coriander and, of course, bourbon. Finish has a nice vanilla and bourbon aftertaste with some alcohol warmth.
