Sampled at the hellbilly holiday tasting. Golden brownish color pour with a nice foamy head that lasts a while. Aroma of sweet malt, bourbon, fruit and yeast. Lots of bourbon in the flavor, along with fruit, vanilla, yeast, and a bit of spice and alcohol. Smooth and slightly thick on the palate. Pretty good brew!

Bottle courtesy of superdave70 shared at hellbilly*s holiday tasting. Pours a hazy peach color with a white head. Nose is alcohol, light sour yeast and malty bourbon. Taste is sweet dark fruits, biscuits, vanilla and alcohol. Medium prickly mouth. Decent stuff. Thanks Dave!

Expensive as hell ($18 for 750ml) but good. Golden color with moderate-to-high carbonation. Lemony and creamy with vanilla and some serious bourbon on the finish. Booooouuuurbon! (obscure reference to "My New Haircut: Senior Citizen Edition")

Pours a hazy honey-brown with an aroma of spice, wood, honey, sugar, and I swear I got some dill weed. Flavor is slight fizziness with dill, wood, maple, complexity, and youth. Finish is average. This beer is still in diapers. I would love to re-rate it with some age.

Opaque blond. Aroma leads with bourbon, bread, dried flowers and wood. Very bourbony palate. Slight vanilla accent and lots of wood. The tripel seems to only provide a firm, alcoholic backdrop. Not sure I like the balance, but it is still drinkable and even pleasurable.

Glowing golden color with white head that is pretty fizzy and dissipates relatively fast. Still, the glow on the beer is stunning. Aroma is mellow, sweet, and hot with vanilla bean, apples, and Bosq pears. Mouthfeel is soft with a medium level of carbonation. Apples, overripe pear, and an alcoholic finish predominate the flavors with genuine and subtle vanilla adding the only spiciness. Dry finish on this fine and mellow beer.

Pours to a light straw with a good sized head that dissipates rather quickly. Lots of yeasty bread on the nose upfront. Surprisingly little bourbon though. On the palate this is one smooth beer. Good amount of carbonation and wonderful smoothness from start to finish. As the nose suggests, this is a yeasty beer, which, I believe, balances the alcohol nicely. On the finish, the bourbon notes finally come in for me. There’s just a hint of sweet woody flavor that gives this one a great finish. Solid all around beer, a real standout from Allagash.

Aroma is bready/yeasty with fruity tones, slight bourbon-musky smell. Smooth syrupy body but lots of carbonation. Very strange to me. Bourbon is wonderfully balanced, not overpowering. Blends well with the belgian sweetness.
