Bottle. Clear gold with a medium white head. Aroma of yeast, malt, a bit of fruit and caramel. Malt, apple, bit of booze and an oaky finish.

750ml bottle. Pours a murky orange with minimal head that quickly dissipates. Overwhelming aroma of bourbon. Dry in the mouth with a subtle sweetness from the whiskey, but ultimately just a lot of booze. Not a bad drink, but not worth the price tag.

Bottle at ChrisO "I’m Trying to see the Stool" pre GBBF2010 tasting. The beer that brought the house down. Thanks to Planky for bringing this one. Barrel aged to within an inch of its life. Just too much bourbon and coconut.

Draft at The Shack on 8/14. Pours an orangish gold with a white head that disappears instantly. Very sweet. Lots of sugar in the aroma. Flavor is vanilla, honey, and brown sugar. Very warm feel from the alcohol. Little bourbon at the end. Nicely balanced.

smell Wheat with oak barrel sent. Color is hazy, can’t see through. Smooth ale taste. with whiskey accent at the end. Pallet diminished quickly does not linger. However not my type of ale.

Had this on tap at the 3rd anniversary of Bailey’s Taproom in Portland, OR. Colour... cloudy gold with a thick head. Nose... hints of Bourbon but not much else. Palate... bitter up front with stone fruits and distinct hints of Jim Beam. Generally not as good as I remember (not sure why).

31st July 2010. ChrisOs Pre GBBF - ’Raise The Roof’ tasting. Hazy gold beer with a frothy white head. Light palate - rich malt - very oaky and with a nicely judged amount of whisky. Very nice. So good it brought the ceiling down. Really!

bottle thanks to TreborWhip, pours light gold with a medium off white head. Aroma is strong oak and bourbon. Flavor is rich pale malts, sweet bourbon, nice hop profile, very pleasant. Barrel is not overpowering.
