Pours a somewhat cloudy body, very pale yellow. Fluffy white head creamy and lasting. Sweet sour aroma, light. Sour taste, pretty sweet. Not rotten, or acidic-ly sour. Relatively smooth. Refreshing. Fruity tasting. A little dry on the aftertaste. Tasty. minch25 (346), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jul 10, 2009 Cloudy chestnut brown color, medium creamy khaki head. Light-medium malty aroma. Very smooth, creamy texture. Alcoholic but not overdone. A little heat, bourbon. Medium sweetness. Not your usual tripel, but well made, tasty. Followed up with some chocolate nutty cheesecake.. drseusszb200 (185), Florida, USA Jul 8, 2009 poured cloudy golden with a head that faded quicly to give good lacing. smelled like bourbon barrell and tasted about the same with a little fruit flavor mixed in as well. DuffManSW (283), Riverside, California, USA Jul 5, 2009 On tap at Hollingshead’s.. Pours a cloudy golden with a thin white head..Aroma was belgian yeast and maybe some grapes. Didn’t pick up any bourbon in the nose, maybe it was too cold coming off of the tap.. Tasted like your typical tripel (yeah that rhymes).. Good beer but I wouldn’t pay the $10.95 for a 12oz pour again. deyholla (506), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Jun 30, 2009 Tap. Poured a cloudy gold with a white head. The aroma consisted of the alcohol notes from the Jim Bean which mixed quite nicely with the undertone of fruit and citrus notes. The flavor was sweet and the alcohol was present but by no means over powering.
