On tap at Hollingshead’s.. Pours a cloudy golden with a thin white head..Aroma was belgian yeast and maybe some grapes. Didn’t pick up any bourbon in the nose, maybe it was too cold coming off of the tap.. Tasted like your typical tripel (yeah that rhymes).. Good beer but I wouldn’t pay the $10.95 for a 12oz pour again.

Tap. Poured a cloudy gold with a white head. The aroma consisted of the alcohol notes from the Jim Bean which mixed quite nicely with the undertone of fruit and citrus notes. The flavor was sweet and the alcohol was present but by no means over powering.

From the 750 ml. bottle bottled March 2009 from one of 630 cases bottled. The pour is a fairly cloudy golden-yellow with a quickl rising, bubbly head that diminishes almost as quickly as it starts. Lacing clings throughout the glass. The aroma has a hard liquor scent to it along with yeast. Medium to good mouthfeel with lively carbonation on the tongue. The taste is also yeasty and kind of sour, tart, and like hard liquor that cuts through my sinuses. Very true to the style.

Pours a straw color with nice off-white head which lasts. Aroma is quite a lot of yeast, bourbon, vanilla, lots of booze. Flavor is more of the same, but almost has a champagne like taste to it, very boozy - Bourbon, vanilla, and yeast. Finish has a medicine quality due to the alcohol presence. My first Allagash, not a fan of this style of beer. Give me a bourbon stout instead.

Draft @ Capones: Poured a gold color with a big head. The aroma was sweet, citrus, banana and malt. The flavor was big, thick, bready, malty, citrus, banana, and of course Bourbon. Overall, I thought this beer was Dee-lish.

Pours a dark gold with a fizzy head. Aroma holds yeast, banana, citrus, and a bit of bready malt. Flavor is superb- banana, grapefruit, and spice- very "in your face" and i think the 11% helps that. Palate is aggressive, but welcomed- one of the best tripels i’ve tried to date.

Pours a hazy peach with a super thin white head. Aroma is loaded with citrus, complex yeast spices, and bread. Flavor is an in-your-face manifestation of lemon, grapefruit, banana, and vanilla bourbon. Alcohol is present and noticeable; I like it. Sharp but not overpowering; pronounced but not stifling. Definitely one of the better tripels I’ve had to date. Palate is Very smooth with a subtle prickling carbonation. Finish is extremely dry. Delicious.
