Opaque blond. Aroma leads with bourbon, bread, dried flowers and wood. Very bourbony palate. Slight vanilla accent and lots of wood. The tripel seems to only provide a firm, alcoholic backdrop. Not sure I like the balance, but it is still drinkable and even pleasurable.

Cloudy blond color. Both aroma and flavor have a touch of oaky and smokey vanilla; medium sweet flavor, that combines well with the barrel. Excellent.

Hazy blond color. Nice vanilla aroma. Quite malty taste, some alcohol warmth, good vanilla touch… Very well brewed. Excellent!

Sparkling, lightly hazed apple juice body topped by medium white head. Aroma is medium sweet, oak, vanilla, some alcohol, citrus. Taste is medium sweet, oak, light herbal, finishes with medium alcohol burn, leaving a vanilla and coconut aftertaste. Full body. I enjoy this more than I have some of the overdone barrel-aged beers, but frankly, the relative absence of beer characteristics that results leaves me unsatisfied. The unsullied Tripel is a great beer, and this one is definitely a step down.

Københavnske Øldage 07. Golden with aromatic notes of bourbon, oak and sweetness. The flavour has clear notes of bourbon, oak, sweetness, vanilla and a light citrussy bitterness. It’s a very voluminous beer - a bit too much for me... 2122

Bottle. Amberish colour. Malty and fruity aroma with wood and alcohol. The flavour is rather soft, sweet and alcoholic with a good maltiness, fruits, wood and yeast. Una chella buenísima!

Corked bottle from jan ’07. Orange blonde color, foamy head. Flowery hops, attacked by whisky, grapes and a bit of oak. Citric flavor, oaky, grapes, notes of sweet bourbon. Some alcohol, but the beer is very soft and matured on the tongue and very well balanced. Fruity aftertaste. Delicious!
