Poured a muddy dark brown color with a white-ish head with good retention. Smell was spicey with a bit of clove, seemed different. Light taste of brown sugar and spice, and a little clove, just seemed bland. Light bodied, high carbonation. Really light and dry on the tongue, I was looking forward to trying this, just a little let down. I may try it again sometime to see if I was missing something, but I really didn’t care for this.

12 oz. Translucent mahogany with a two-finger head that settles into a lasting ring with soapy lace. Aroma is clove, banana, and wheat bread. Flavor is similar, with some cocoa and the spicy banana on front, and the wheat bread and dry yeast on the finish. Some sourish berry thrown in for good measure. Medium body is lightly carbonated smooth and dry.

750 ml bottle. Bach #62. Dark leather color. Thin, off white head. Aroma of honey and maple syrup. Yeasty flavor with a bready malt backbone. Dark fruits come out to play as well. Clean finish.

Quite drinkable, albeit not a favorite, and probably not something I would seek out again, but I am glad that I was able to try this beer. Tastes reminiscent of a doughy cinnamon raisin swirl sweet bread. Washed down with some fruit juice. Liquid bread.

Bottle. Hazy reddish-brown. Thick light tan head. Spicy. Bread crust, lots of bakery aromas and spice with a hint of smokiness too. Tastes include bread crusts and slight anise and tamarind plus dried fruit but is not sweet. Instead is peppery and dry. Soft chewy mouthfeel, perfect for style. Very nice dry rendition.

I was really disappointed in this beer. It is very syrupy/sticky and too thin, and the flavor is very simple candy sugar and dark malt without much complexity. I don’t think I will buy this again.
