Sweet aroma with faint hints of citrus. Malty caramel taste with some slight citrus and spice notes and a sweet, slightly alcoholic semi-dry finish.

12 oz bottle...dark cloudy brown with a small tan head....malt/caramel aroma...this one tastes like it smells - sweet and malty with an alcohol aftertaste...not sure why, but this one makes me think a hangover is in the works

Lots of sourness in the aroma. The port and sherry is most likely what I was detecting. Overall, a very good product.

Bottled. Hazy amber coloured with a rather large head. Sweet and malty with notes of caramel, toffee and fruit. Somewhat dusty and slighlty dry.

Cloudy brown body with a small creamy tan head. Sweet heavily malty aroma with a bit of nuttiness in the background. Dark malty flavor with some molassas, caramel, and some light fruitiness.

Pours murky amber brown with a large, foamy, beige head. Brown and candy sugar aroma, with notes of spiced apples. Tart, and mildly fruity flavor, with a light sour malty note. Palate is medium/full, dry, and a bit of lingering sourness.

thanks msonnenberg. this is way overcarbonated for the style. first 4:30am rating i’ve ever done where i’m pretty much sober and everyone else is alseep. head is kinda white and not perfectly attractive. smell is of raisins and spices. spicy belgian aroma i guess. almost masala. taste is light. dangerously so. i get some spices, but not much more.
