Pours slightly hazy amber-brown with little head that laced the glass till the end. All the "proper" Belgian flavors and well balanced for the Abbey Dubble style. Not much different than all the other U.S. produced Belgian Abbeys out there. Side by side with Ommegang, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. Worth the $1.95 a bottle at the Candlewick. ryan (1775), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

The aroma is toffee, dark fruits, milk chocolate and light spice. The flavor is caramel, candi sugar, herbal, spicy hops, banana and plums. Medium body with soft carbonation, proper attentuation, very well done. JAF737300 (792), Tampa, Florida, USA

Great notes of spice, and hazelnuts. Its palate goes long and gives a nice finish. michael-pollack (2645), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

Scent is malty, with notes of caramel and dark fruits. Aroma is a bit weak. Poured copper in color with a medium tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Medium lacing. Cloudy with many floating particles. Sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes strongly of malts, with notes of nuts, roasting, plum, and a small bit of chocolate. Very unbalanced toward malts. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Chalky texture. Finish is sweet and cloying. Malty flavor lasts long time. Overall, I did not really like this beer.
