| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 3, 2007 "Just" another really nice beer from Allagash. I’ve come to think very highly of these guys and so far none of their beers dissapoint. The beer pours out a deep brown, slight reddish color with a medium off-white head. First aroma hits you is the malty sweetness. Under that is a fruity/berry aroma with cloves and a bit of spice. Mouthfeel is a little thin for a dubbel, but still it’s very nice. Flavors of the beer were a little "light", meaning they were quite as strong as I like, but they were still nice. Notes of raisins, dark table grapes, figs, and spices. Finishes smooth. rmussman (905), California, USA

Aroma was very malty and strong. Appearance was light brown with a cloudy texture. Mouthfeel was super smooth. Flavor was distinct and strong. A great abbey brew. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA

Pours a dark ass amber color with a thick, light colored head that faded pretty quick. The smell is pretty meh, nothing to strong standing out. nice sharp "belgian" bite to the taste and very smooth going down. I really love these friggin things. Very very drinkable.
