alobar (1006), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 22, 2005 Dark amber color. Cloudy. Tastes of malts with slight undertones of chocolate and nuts. Not off the charts spectacular, but a fine beer nonetheless. Goldorak (439), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Nov 14, 2005 Batch 38, aged about 2 years.
Dark brown caramel, with a crown of salt and pepper.
Quite madeirized, with plenty of cork in the nose, subtle alcohol fumes.
Mid carbonation, caramel malt, but that "aged cork" taste took a little too much space, I’d have to give this one another shot with a fresh sample in order to enjoy it’s subtleties. jrob21 (1251), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Nov 13, 2005 Pours a dark brown with a light tan head. Sweet, malty taste. A little thin tasting with a quick finish. Very carbonated. CheckYourHead (5), Tampa, Florida, USA does not count Nov 6, 2005 Nutty & sweet aromas, pours a dense brown with a foamy head. Chocolate flavor throughout, with a mellow finish. Kind of underwhelming, but still quite tasty. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Nov 4, 2005 Sweet malt, candy, and chocolate are in the nose of this tan headed, clear brown ale. It’s quite soft and creamy in the mouth. The flavor reflects the aroma but isn’t quite so strong. A light alcohol afterburn accompanies the sweet, candy finish. Not bad.

00cobraR (1096), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Oct 19, 2005 Pours a cloudy brown color with a small beige colored head. Has a sweet brown sugar scent. The taste is rather nice with a chocolate nutty flavor. A nice brew indeed. Mangino (1027), Mississippi, USA Oct 4, 2005 Pours a murky brown color. Small off white foamy head. Nice lacing. Aroma is brown sugar, molasses, toffee. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, and caramel, some nuttiness to it as well. Saarlander (1577), Saarlouis, Germany Oct 3, 2005 The sample I had was sooooo mellow, no hint of alcohol, sweet, malty, good after a big meal. jjpm sent me this chocolaty one, and I thank him!
