Good dark color with fizzy head. Ton of bubbles. I smelled toffe, caramel, spice and earth. I enjoyed the same tastes, with a mouth feel that was slppery? Good brew, will buy again.

Bottle, poured more amber then the triple. My brother-in-law said Yuck on the taste. But I found the nose yummy, sweet and spices, like cookies. The taste had all the nose had. The only draw back was an off taste on the after taste.

Nice thick, foamy head when poured, with a light bit of lace afterwards. The color is dark brown, translucent but not transparent. The aroma to me is fairly nondescript, nothing to "write home about". It’s clean, slightly sweet and malty. The taste is just slightly better than OK. I know this is supposed to age well, and perhaps age would improve it, but to me there’s just malt, some hops, and a sort of musty, earthy taste. It isn’t bad, but it really isn’t good either. It finishes clean, but a bit sour for my taste. Something is definitely missing here. I’ve had better dubbels and I don’t think I’ll buy this one again. .

Hazy brick red with a large bubbled moderate tan head. Musty, minerally, yeasty, spicy aroma. A bit astringent and chalky in flavor. Some sweet musky yeast and caramel notes. Body is on the light side, particularly for the style.

Pours an attractive clear brown color with a lot of small bubbles racing to the top and a medium, creamy beige head. Very interesting aroma of malt, toffee, nuts, spices and leather. Very good flavor of malt, toffee, nuts, spices and leather. The body is light with an oily texture and moderate carbonation. This is a very well made beer, it’s enjoyable to sip while watching a good movie.

Pours a dark brown with a thick and lasting white head and lots and lots of lacing. The aroma is rather sweet with a little hint of raisins or currants. Flavor is surprisingly nutty with sweet malt flavors and a just a hint of fruitiness. Not overly complex but an enjoyable beer nonetheless.

12 oz bottle. I’m pretty sure this is the dubbel. Bubbly grape aroma with a dark brown appearance. Taste is a sipcy clove malt up front and has a nutmeg aftertaste.

pours very dark brown. Strong alcohol flavor and very bitter aftertaste. A little dark for me. Tastes alike a cross between a porter and an esb. Won’t buy this again. But I’m looking forward to trying more from allagash
