A hazy deep red beer with a thick light orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also a light dusy straw note of hops. The flavor is sweet malty again with caramel being strongest, combined with a boring note of spices and brown sugar, as well as a light note of smoke. The end is dry with a light note of wood.

(Bottle 75 cl) Hazy, brownish with a beige head leaving some laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dried fruit and some yeast. Medium body, lightly sweetish roasted malt. Fruity - also some dried fruit notes and a whiff of yeast and diacetyl. Slightly earthy tang but not enough to spoil the pleasure. 180607

Bottled. Mahogany colour. Sweet and nutty, some caramel. The mouthfeel is clean and straightforward, flavours are relatively restrained. Short grassy finish.

Burgundy. Dry, medium bodied, bitter. Yeasty, but not complex enough for the style.

75 cL bottle, thanks to Storm. Pours hasy brown with a lacing white head. Spiced caramel malt aroma. Flavour is roasted malt, light hoppy bitter with a subdued fruit note. Mellow yeasty note. Ends lingering spice finish. Nice.

Allagash Dubbel
Cloudy light brown colour. Aroma of bubblegum and raisin, brown sugar. Sweet palate with toasty, raisiny character and dark chocolate. Balanced, soft but uninteresting.

Corked bottle; batch #55
Hazy dark brown color. The aroma is a bit nutty and corky. The flavor has a quite good mix of caramel with some malt and roasted malt, stronger character than the average Belgian Dubbel; the yeast as well seems to be Belgian. Quite Belgian, quite good.
