Pours unclear amber malty in color with red clay white head. The aroma brings lightly sweet aged oaky malt notes with some alcohol notes at the end. The flavor brings some aged malt notes with the alcohol presence still there and some starch like flavors.

2nd August 2009 Hazy amber beer. Dry frothy palate. Immediate vegetable spice that dominates the creamy malt. A bit like ginger but it’s not ginger! Frothy in the mouth, it finishes dry with some warmth. As so often with Allagash - interesting but not quite inspiring.

750ml bottle. Pours a hazy dark golden almost orange color with a large off white head that was mostly lasting. The aroma was sweet bready malts, hints of yeast, fruity and floral with a peppery spiciness. The flavor
had quite a bit going on with sweet bready malts, fruity notes, floral (I can only imagine this is the yarrow), hints of alcohol and peppery spices. Good creamy mouthfeel with good carbonation. From notes.
