3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
white tainted cloudy orange with thin but bright white head. big nose of spice, lots of corriander and pumpkin pie type spices and pretty sweet with maybe some fruit notes behind it, specifically apricot. extremely spicy flavors...the spice rack kitchen sink-type. sweet backdrop...very holiday like..like eggnog, almost. Im not a huge fan of spicy beers but at least here its the spices and most likely not the yeast causing those flavors as opposed to yeast and spice or just plain spicy yeast...this tastes like the yeast profile is rather tame but the added spices were plentiful in quantity...very pumpkin pie-like fruity/squash flavors...there seems to be adequate hoppy bitterness behind it, more so than your typical belgian wit...the alcohol heat is certainly felt but i think it works here

Before leaving for Maine thought I’d drink another brew from Allagash. 10th Rating Bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar. Pours gold with a bright white ring head that leaves a bit of lacing. Spiced herbal nose. Taste is sweet and light and nice with a big of coriander and a number of other interestingof characteristics. This is a really tasty light Belgian Strong with a lot of complexity.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Beachwood BBQ. Mostly hazy, deep golden yellow color with a thick layer of frothy white head. Lots of freshly grated ginger in the aroma along with some mild clove phenol character. A creamy, doughy, wheat maltiness adds some soft sweetness to the nose to pleasantly balance the brightness of the ginger. Medium bodied, creamy carbonation with a soft, silky texture. A milky wheat sweetness comes out up front on the palate, followed quickly by some ginger spice and herbal coriander. Some orange citrus flavors also come out toward the backend. Not really light bodied, but the brightness of the flavors and smooth mouthfeel make this an enjoyable, refreshing summer drink nonetheless.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Wow....first bottle rating, bought in Chicago: Pour is dark hazed yellow with a thin big bubbled white head...smell is clove and ginger with some light herbal notes...taste is lightly sweet at first, with a strong herbal and spicy...anise, clove, coriander, lots of black and white pepper, and some pears...medium mouthfeel with a strongly spicy and peppery finish...this reminds me of the 10th anniversary, but spicier and not as delicious.
