Tap at Blind Tiger. I found this to be a miserable failure of a beer. Starts out alright when its cold, although the finish has a gross grainy quality that really screws things up. However, as it warms, it becomes near undrinkable, with the chemically formaldehyde finish overwhelming the beer. Before that, though, this has a strong boozy Belgian yeast aroma, bready and in your face, with some nice green melon underneath. Hard yeast and a hard water body make it tough to drink, with fair alcohol burn. And then the chemicals hit.
It’s disappointing to me to see anniversary beers of such low quality come out from an otherwise very talented brewer (and one of my favorites). I guess we always have next year.

Dammit... I thought I’d be the first to enter this... ah well. Deep cloudy golden yellow beer. Aroma of coriander, soft lemon peel, orange citrus and a nice yeasty spiciness. Light and floral and quite aromatic. A little bit peppery and fruity with a kiss of ginger. Light wheatiness with loads of coriander but it never gets soapy at all. There is a lightly anaesthetic quality to the beer, that is quite interesting. Good balance, wheaty and spicy with a linger orange/lemony tartness. Quite yeasty and full-bodied but with a lovely intriguing herbal quality that is quite nice. Much better than the first iteration of Fluxus.

Draught @ GLB Portland ME.
This is a pumped up version of Allagash White that is beautiful. Ginger in spice in the nose follow through in the mid palette. The beer was brilliant and clouded with a slightly amber hue not seen in the white. Full bodied and wonderful to sip on. WOuld pair really well with clean fruity slow food or spicy ginger based asian dishes.
