3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
[750 ml bottle from Louís Beverage Barn, cellared for 10 mos. after purchase] Pours cloudy light golden amber with two fingers of level, off-white head that recede to about 1/8" and stay. Aroma of big spice, although Iím hard pressed to identify what. Some lighter candy-malt sweetness underneath. Mouthfeel fairly soft and light, maybe lightly sticky. Thin, weepy broken rings of lacing. Predominantly a spicy flavor with an underlying sweetness and light fruitiness. Finishes lightly bitter with a light peppery/spicey aftertaste. Some hints of alcohol. Interesting - could easily be identified as a spice beer.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
750ml bottle purchased at The Lighthouse in Manchester, Maine. Pours a hazy yellow-orange body with a little less than an inch of off-white head. Orange, lemon, grapefruit, pith, coriander, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice... Wow. Spice is the first thing that jumps out, with cinnamon, nutmeg, and coriander. Citrus plays a strong supporting role, with orange and lemon chief among the flavors. Effervescent, light in body, with a fair bit of carbonation. This is one hell of a witbier. Complex but balanced, and super-drinkable for the ABV and complexity.

Bottle thanks to BanditBrewingCO (BA)!
Transparent gold, small soft white head, leaves heavy lacing. Definite ginger and lemon nose, some soft, creamy yeast and light wheat. Flavor is heavy wheat, some corriander and ginger, more lemon zest, hints of banana and faint grassy hop. Palate is too creamy given the profile, and not enough carbonation to support the ABV. Thereís also an odd finish note, like marshmallow, and probably too much wheat. Still, great beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
In short: A moderately spicy blonde Belgian ale with refreshing fruity flavours. Very good.
How: Bottle 750ml. Consumed about 8 months after purchase
The look: Cloudy dark yellow body topped by a long-lasting medium white head
In long: Nose is all about the spiciness of the beer, mainly coriander. Taste brings
aboard a lot of fruity flavours ranging from bananas, pineapples, kiwis, tropical fruits, more. All that wrapped in honey. The strong spiciness on the nose only translates is light spiciness in the taste. Grassy hopping is adequate and the added spiciness really makes it a rather dry beer (by Belgian standards). I really like the next Allagash Fluxus lines, their two first ones (07 & 08) were both great. Still waiting for the 09 release and itís already june. But Iím not worried. A beer being late isnít as worrisome as my girlfriend being late.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks to josarah for this beer. Pours a honey color with a hazy body and small head. Nose of yeast, hay and spices. Flavor is full and rich with citrus, yeast, peppers and ginger. Palate is clean, crisp and full. Reminds me of a tripel mixed with a saison.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy straw yellow with a foamy pure white head that had good lacing and retention. Aroma was fresh ginger, coriander, orange peel, cloves and some wheaty malts. Flavor was soft and smooth and very well balanced with ginger, fruity citrus, sweet wheat, white pepper, orange zest and a hint of herbs with a silky smooth medium body and has a dry crisp finish. Well done allagash

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured cloudy yellow with a rocky white head that exploded out of the glass. Good lacing. Spicy sweet aroma packed with ginger, cinnamon, coriander, nutmeg, etc. Lemon zest and sweet yeast esters as well. Carbonated, but still heavy in the mouthfeel. The taste is outstanding. Pleasant yeast/banana flavors with orange and lemon zest blended with the lighter malt. Different spice combinations seemed to hit you, similar but never the same. A sweet honey and wheat finish that lingers. And have to agree with JohnGalt1, chamomile is present as well, or at least the spice combination resembles it. Loved it.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a hazy amber with not a whole lot of head. The ginger aroma is very evident right off the bat; reminds me of dark ín stormies. The problem with me (maybe just me) is that I drink a fair share of dark ín stormies & I donít really think that the combination of heavy ginger with the taste of a traditional Belgian strong ale goes very well. It does even out after a few sips, but itís just not for me. Finishes clean, & very well done, & an interesting beer, nonetheless.
