I could have used this warmer in January... Clear brown with red highlights and a short-lived fizzy white head, this has a fruity aroma, cherry mostly, with perhaps some orange or other less tart citric fruit. It’s light-bodied but lively. The taste is yeast fruit flavors with the smallest hint of the advertised four hops but a serious hit of alcohol. It’s got a sticky fruity finish highlighted by the strong ABV. Nice.

Bottle: Aroma is sweet, fruity, light yeast, spices, and light tartness. Pours a reddish-orange with lots of sediment and small white head. Very nice flavor. Fruity, yeasty, and light citrus up front. Finishes lightly hoppy. Very good and very drinkable. Thanks to Styles.

Cloudy amber color with a large, frothy beige head. The aroma was full of clove, musk cologne, grass, and coriander. The flavor was filled with musky perfume tones, grass, and coriander. The feel was very crisp, lively, bubbly, with a dry finish. I was not blown away by this at all. Good, but not great.

Very nice glowing amber color with a medium beige head. Sweet malt, clove, and dark friut aroma. Very sweet clove, malt, spice (coriander and cinnamon?), and alcohol flavors. Very warming feel, with lots of carbonation. Very nice!

Poured a darker brown to bronzeish color, small off white head. Aroma of walnuts darker fruit (cherries and cranberrys). Smooth flavor is warming malty and spicy. Lots of sweet caramel and a hint of alcohol.

thick white head laces well, carb bubbles a kind of cloudy copper color. sweet smell reminiscent of a belgian sweet floral malts and a bit of hints of alcohol and a light bitterness not like hops. a good body highly carbonated feel, and a bit of creaminess... almost a 4 but not quite. Tastes of sweet floral, brown raw sugar, big raisesn, something a little spicy but very mild almost a hint of apple and alochol. Overall very good.

Brilliantly clear ans stylishly ruby. Aroma is full of flowery hops, yeasty spice and a touch of peppery alcohol. Body is medium to light, flavor quite straightforward. A dash of sweetness up front, which the alcohol dries out rather quickly. Apples, but shifing to a yeasty spice with a hint of flowery hops, some considerable alcohol flavor as well, slick. I’m left wanting a bit more malt. Perhaps I’m missing the point, but in a big strong dark belgian, I want luxurious mmaltiness and complexity, and these are the things in which this guy is a bit lacking. Perhaps somewhat a victim of expectations...
