Bottle. Had the latest version with the black label. Pours a tawny color with hints of pine, grapefruit, prune, date, rasberry, and honey. Amazing palate with a thick, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Flavor lasts long and is heavenly. Beer is similar to Miades Touch from Dogfish but I believe even better. Highly recommended a truly a great surprise.

Golden color with a tiny white head that disappears rapidly to leave scant bubbles and great lacing. Aroma of freshly rising bread dough. Flavor begins with orange peel and coriander, progresses to a nice sourness and finishing with a bitter tone. Great body, almost chewy. A wonderful brew, especially on cask.

Deep clear red, huge whitish head. Beautiful nose, sugary and sweet, very fruity with lots of plums, peaches and apricots. Tastes yummy, big yeasty character, malts are bready. Subtle fruits, berries and a bit peachy. Good hop and spice mix at the end. Great palate, full and coaty, sticks around the mouth. Good stuff.

An American craftbrewing tour de force. Aroma is plum preserves with a powerful whack of Belgian yeast, slight vinegar, and a powdery CO2 quality when sniffed in the snifter. Somewhat pheremonic. Tremendous appearance -- tall, heavy Belgian bottle with gold lettering. Dark oak colored brew with off-white microbubble head that coats the sides of the glass nicely. Superbly balanced. Initially lightly sweet, with dark candy flavors. It has an almost herbal bittering. Finish is lightly nut-bitter, which persists for quite a while. Sometimes it was almost too smooth. If I had a minor complaint, it was that it sometimes grew watery or vacant in its smoothness. Be sure to drink it warm for the full body and complexity. If the Allagash guys see this and have a few cases which are about to expire, I'll take them off your hands.

Dark mahogany with a medium ivory head that leaves lots of lace as it recedes. Nose: candi sugar, spices and yeast. Flavor: dark fruits, peaches, cinnamon, hazelnuts and just a hint of chocolate. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel. The 10% ABV is well hidden. Nice.

MAssive head, very sweet, should be perfect with chocolate. A nice desert beer.

Burnt amber in color with a nice fluffy white head. Yeast, candi sugar, slight banana aroma. Nice balance between malt and hops, cant really single out either. Medium body, lots going on with the taste. I detect the alcohol, but by no means overpowering. One of the best beers I had in months.

Big fuzzy head on top of a slightly murky amber body. The aroma is mouthwatering; full of yeast and spice that just begs for a sip. Flavor lives up to the nose, and is lovely. Everything is in there to play with. The Belgian yeast, sticky malt, sugars, and hints of hops just swirl around and make for one fantastic beer.

Poured with a sweet, head stays around. Flavor was a little syrupy malt, and a full mouthfeel. This it a nice quad that should get even better with age.
