Pours a deep brown color, with a thin head. Aroma is sugary sweet, malty and a little alcoholic. Complex, malty flavors show some fruits, full-on candi sugar sweetness and an excellent hop finish. Nicely balanced, a solid representation of the style.

750ml bottle, pours a light tan head, cooper color ale that’s semi cloudy. Aroma is grainy/malty& sweet. Taste is as aroma leads: grainy/malty& sweet, then a little alcohol. Good carbonation. Good for this style, an occasional ale.

Pours a murky orange-brown with lots of carbonation and a rocky, off-white head. Minimal lacing. Cherries, dried dark fruits, a boatload of brown sugar and yeast, and a clove/nutmeg/cookie dough mixture. Thicker, velvety mouthfeel. Somewhat sticky, which enhanced the sweeter side of the brew. The tangier, earrthy side of the beer dominated. Apples, grapes, and cherry for the most part. A fair amount of toffee and even some chocolate flavors popped up. Lots of sticky caramel and yeasty esters. The alcohol is not well masked, giving the a boozy finish. A very good beer that is easy to have you fill of.

750 ml bottle. Poured a cloudy brown orange color. Head was one finger high and dissipated relatively quickly. Aroma was of pear, brown sugar, and alcohol. Slightly sweet up front with a hint of acidity in the middle that lingers briefly. The flavor was fruit dominated, tasting predominantly of pear, raisin, and white wine. There was also some clove, a dash of white pepper, and the slightest hint of vinegar. Pretty good Quad.

Caramelly, brown sugar, and kind of cidery in the nose. Pours a nice amber. Very nice flavor, caramel and smooth sugar, with a great spicey character. Very smooth!

Had this at Vail Beer Fest. 2-oz sample in a snifter. The beer poured a murky medium-gold color without any head. The aroma was moderately malty with notes of roasted grain and cookie; light hoppy notes of pine, dry straw and green apple; light yeast notes of basement and barnyard with miscellaneous notes of vanilla, clove and insence. The flavor was moderately sweet and lightly bitter with an average-length, lightly bitter finish with cool green apple retros. The body was light-to-medium, the texture was watery and the carbonation was soft. I would like to have this again and spend a little more time with it—it’s pretty engaging.

Pours amber with a good size off-white head. Aroma is malty and a bit musty. Taste is extremely malty. Signs of all kinds of sugars. Honey, molasses brown sguar, its all inthere. Hints of dark fruits. Very complex taste.

Sampled at the Nashville BA tasting. Pours a hazy amber with a light beige head. Aroma of alcohol, yeast, wheat malts, and Belgian esters. Flavor of yeast, apple, lemon, wet grains, and something else I can’t read from my shitty handwriting..butterscotch?? Oh well, not bad, but perhaps past it’s prime.
