From a 75 cl bottle shared in Avon NC. Pours a light cola with a thin off white head. Light cherry aroma. Flavors of caramel, light toffee, red fruits and some feint sour yeast notes. Medium mouthfeel with light carbonation. Hides the alcohol well.
3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 VALIS (210) - Nashua, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 20, 2013
Really not much scent. Malty, typical Belgian aromas like dark fruit, brown sugar, caramel, pumpernickel. Low carbonation, leading to a semi-sweet, slightly liquory taste, which you have to expect at a whopping 10% ABV. Worst part is the aftertaste, sticky and sweet. Very good beer, though.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 BeerFunGuy (219) - California, USA - FEB 15, 2013
This beer has very little aroma. It is crisp and goes down easy. It is less sweet than your normal Belgian. Good clean flavors.

A good, if not a little boring beer. Pours a cloudy brown with a light white head. Not much smell. Taste is alright, smooth and refreshing but a little boring. Had on tap at Noc Noc.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Advocate_Ames (225) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 3, 2013
I pick up on the scent of yeast, hops, malts, fruits, wine, and wood. The flavor is mainly of malts, hops, and fruit. I do taste yeast, a slight sweetness from the sugar, and dried fruits. Which might be apricots. There is minimal dryness in the finish. The drink isn’t easy on my palate. The Four is a tad bitter but tends to fade quickly. Overall this is a nice beverage.

Bottle from sampling session. 2009 vintage. From notes (Nov. 12, 2011). Very smokey nose. Lightly fruity and malty. Hops are apparent in the aftertaste. Age maybe helped, or maybe not. I suspect something was wrong with this bottle.
