Golden Brett is a dark golden colored beer, brewed with Victory, 2-Row and Red Wheat malt. It was lightly hopped with a blend of Northern Brewer and Simcoe hops. The beer started it’s primary fermentation in a stainless tank and finished fermentation in a 800 gallon oak foudre. The finished beer has fruity nose and flavors of citrus, apricot and bread crust. The mild tartness of the beer gives way to a long, clean finish.

Bottled July 1 2015 pour has a light golden color with a thick fizzy white head that fizzled back. Aroma has brett, citrus, sweet underlying fruit, and mild tartness. Mouth feel is light with high carbonation. Flavor has plenty of brett, nice golden base, citrus rind, light peach skins, and light tartness.

Pours a golden orange with a thick white head. Aroma of Brett, oak, pineapple and grapefruit. Taste is bitter hops, pineapple, Brett, oak and funk. Really one of the best Brett forward beers that I’ve ever had.

This stuff pours w/ an annoying large head that takes forever to fade enough for you to drink it and that sucks because it smells wonderful. It’s big bright and fruit, lots of pineapple and dried apricot plus just a bit of sweet corny grain character. Taste doesn’t quite seem to live up to the nose but is still quite nice, rather bitter w/ some sweetness that brings out a lavender note. This is pretty full bodied and releases all it’s carbonation on pouring so a bit flatter than maybe it should be. Overall though, I’d say this is more than solid. Smells great, taste good and drinks pretty easy once you get through its impenetrable head.

Bottle - 375mL corked and caged. Bottled on July 1, 2015. Gold pour with a tall, dense, foamy white head. Aroma is very funky and yeast with fruit and wet oak. The flavor profile starts off with funky yeast and then brightens up with lots of fruit notes, apricot jam, tart fruit, light wood and soft earthy notes. Body is medium with a strong, bubbly carbonation. Slightly dry finish as well. Ends with bigger fruit, funky yeast, floral notes, earthy notes and soft woody notes.

Keg pour at NH Brewfest. Appearance is golden pour with attractive sparkle, white head and lacing. Aroma is yeasty sour with some berry/fruity nose. Taste is as aroma, dominant sour with some fruit. Palate is medium bodied with slick texture, average carbonation. Overall, not lovin’ it because it is not my style. Nice look and decent palate and, if you love yeasty sour, you’ll like it.

A gift from my roommate but we ended up splitting it. This was poured into a mini snifter and a mini tulip. I had the tulip. The appearance was basically the same in both. Hazy golden bronzed yellow to burnt color with some stringy lacing running here and there after a slim white foamy head dissipated. The smell started off with a nice sour to sweet level of citrus rind opening up into more lemon. Light pine shows up lightly through a nice woody edge to it. The taste replicates the aroma nicely showcasing the citrus rind blending with a light bitter piney edge. There’s a light sweet to sour citrus aftertaste strolling into a sticky finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body with a fairly nice sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the citrus to leave a subtle dry yet sweet cherished feel along my tongue. Overall, wow, where did this come from? I know Allagash has been known to knock ’em out of the park, but this one, holy crap, exceptionally well done!
