3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured into sample glass at brewery: Pours hazy golden with a decent white head. Aroma of funk, hay, lemon zest, rotten tropical fruits, and dough. Taste dry, light fruit, brett funk, and cracker malt. Slightly tart, little bitter from brett on the back end, nice saison.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dry fruity wet wool oaky aroma and flavor. Brett is noticeable and adds an earthy funk but is balanced but is balanced by an almost peachy woody flavor. Makes me think of some of the trinity saisons in a way. Well done and refreshing. Has a bit of an earthy dirty bite to the end and is a bit light palate but still nice for a Brett beer.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours golden orange with a a one finger white head which fades to decent lacing. Aroma is of wet hay, sour fruits, Greek yogurt, light barnyard, light bready malts, citrus peels, and light honey sweet malts. Taste is about the same as aroma. Has a medium body with a creamy, soft mouthfeel and a dry, semi sour, funky finish. Overall, a tasty, complex, "Bretty" golden ale.

Bottle: (375ml $16) Bright golden with huge white head. Funky aroma. Sweet and fruity. High carbonation. lightly sour. Carbonation seems to settle down after a bit. Very good, but at the price it will not be a regular.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle courtesy of Håkan @ work. Pours clear sparkling deep golden with a frothy white head that leaves some thick lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is fruity and funky with crackers, lemon juice, pineapple, mango, star fruit, yoghurt, hay, minerals, leather, barnyard and lemon zest. Taste is slightly sour, fruity and funky. Mouthfeel is tiny crisp, tiny sparkling, dry, slightly tart and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sour with plenty of tropical fruits and tropical brett C funk. Very bright and fruity funky. Love this!

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draft at Allagash. This is a master class in balance. The base beer itself is wonderfully golden and clean, with some light malt and hop notes. The foudre fermentation and Brett character, though, really take it up a notch and are extremely well integrated. Excellent.
