rustychiles (362), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jul 15, 2008 Batch 10, 750ML Bottle.
Pours a cloudy amber color with a nice white head. Aroma is fruits, spices and yeast. Flavor is malt, spices, yeast, fruits. Pretty good, but I don’t think i’ll be seeking it out again anytime soon. wxman (430), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Jul 13, 2008 Pours a somewhat cloudy golden. Aroma is bread dough and spice. Sweet malty taste with spices and some citrus fruitiness. Pretty decent! cbkschubert (1518), Skyline, Arizona, USA Jul 11, 2008 750 ml bottle - Notes are a little vague on this one. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a large off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is esters and spice. Flavor is bready malt, esters, and spice. Medium body. A nice beer. badbeer (391), Iowa, USA Jul 5, 2008 Pours a nice amber color with a soft white head leaving some lacing and lasted with the glass. Smell of some coriander and very breadlike, but not real exciting. Taste is bread-y, with some spices coming into play as well. Seemed a bit simple, I seem to have missed out on some of the fruit flavors others have described; different batch? Mouthfeel felt like too much carbonation and lighter side of medium bodied. This was probably worth a try, but I don’t think I’ll be seeking this one out again.
BlackDonald (696), On a beer trip all over the USA, California, USA Jun 24, 2008 Lovely heady nose, somewhat floral, with lots of sweet light fruits and spice. I love the nose, was not overly crazy about the palate, a little too over the top on the spices, extremely herbal and almost bitter at times, only saving grace is the sweet malty background. Decent but not the best offering from Allagash.
