Commercial Description:
Allagash Grand Cru is deep golden in color, and has a firm yet refined malty palate. Taste and aroma have suggestions of smoke and licorice, with subtle hints of fruit and spice. An excellent beer to enjoy during the cooler seasons.

Pours a bright ruby-orange with a thick, billowing head. The head does drop pretty rapidly leaving a thin ring and plenty of lacing. The pleasant aroma of bananas and yeast gave a hint of the taste to come. The flavor is banana, clove and other spices. There’s a slight citrus tang along with a slightly sweet malt. The beer is quite carbonated and a good palate cleanser. The fruit and spice flavor was gentle, but was more than adequate to stand up to the strong flavors of the oyster casserole and the fresh minced horseradish with beef we served it with.

Aroma of sweet spices and fruits. Appears cloudy with a slightly off white fizzy head. Flavor typical of a belgian beer. Lots of spice present. Ok for a winter beer

Batch 15. Sweet honey, orange blossom, light brown sugar, and bubblegum. Mild citrus and fruity hops. Rich dark golden amber, with mild haze, topped with light lacing foamy head. Medium heavy body, with mild warming and smooth carbonation. Starts with tons of rich sweet malt, golden honey and orange blossom. Fruity fresh hoppy bitterness to start, with light bubblegum chalky finish. Well-balanced with a bit of yeast character. Nice strong ale, and not overpoweringly sweet.

Pours a orange hazy amber colour with a small white head. Nose is of red fruits, spices, citrus, and some alcohol. Initial taste begins spicy with nectarine and other fruits. Sweet malts are also apparent. FInishing with a peppery palate and light bitter hops. LIght to medium body. Palate duration is average. Some lacing of te glass and minor head retention. Dry finish.
