A pleasurable assault on the senses. The fairly extraordinary & powerful aroma accurately foretells the fruit, spices & eye-popping heartiness awaiting the taster. Maybe a bit of alcohol burn in there as well? The intense, "chewy" flavor of this brew inhabits your system, props its feet up, and stays awhile. Guaranteed to warm up any Winter evening. A winner.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 2, 2006 Hazy (from my pour) blood orange with a thick head of fine bubbles and some lacing. Gingery corriander aroma with soft banana, subtle noble hops, some detectable spices, a little musty, and no obvious alcohol. Flavour: spicy spices, corriander, black pepper, well balanced sweet / bitter (both are significant). Some fruitiness: banana, white grape, curranty hops. Sweetness is from malt. Woody bitter mixed with some alchohol. Medium body, a tad warming, and medium carbonation.
