COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Allagash Grand Cru is deep golden in color, and has a firm yet refined malty palate. Taste and aroma have suggestions of smoke and licorice, with subtle hints of fruit and spice. An excellent beer to enjoy during the cooler seasons.

Aroma of citrus and lemon peel. It poured a cloudy brownish color with great head retention and lacing. Sweet taste with notes of clove, basement aromas, and a nice spice finish. Excellent lingering taste on the palate. Overall this is a damn good beer, and you should go and drink this immediately.

750 ml batch 20. Pours an unclear deep amber brown with a small creamy off white head. Aroma is sweet cereal and candied nuts, dark fruitiness, and some definite spiciness. Flavor is a bit spicier, a nice dark overripe fruit note and just a bit of tartness. Finishes smooth and creamy with a nice mild bitterness. Medium lightly sticky body with a soft carbonation. Nice grand cru

Pours a deep hazy golden-amber color, nose is like a bag of rotten potpouri, taste is super boozy, well too overcarbonated, grab bag of spices, anise, pepper, dark candy sugar, just not my taste at all.

Bottle about 2 years old. Oxidized aroma with honey and citrus. Cloudy orange color. Flavors of cereals, honey, lemon, slightly peppery finish. Spicy, with coriander, and peaches. Rich, thicik, andsmooth. Tripel-like, decent though not spectacular. Maybe a bit too much spice, and probably better fresher.

Batch 20 thanks to thirdeye11. Deep Ruby/amber with a cream head. Nose is yeast, dried fruits, light hops, pear, lightly spiced. Nice on the palate, flavor is heavy on the pears, yeast, dried fruit skins, and more yeast.

.750->Trappist (batch #19): pours an offwhite, dim head atop a murky, orange body. A good bit of sediment is visible in the pour. Aroma of clove and concord grapes. Medium body, medium flavor duration. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter and an astringent finish. A nice beer from a good brewery.
