crizay (1069), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA Mar 25, 2006 Updated: Mar 28, 2006 Lighter orange/amber, big thick white head. It really does have a belgian like aroma orange and coriander. BlackDonald (610), On a beer trip all over the USA, California, USA Jun 24, 2008 Lovely heady nose, somewhat floral, with lots of sweet light fruits and spice. I love the nose, was not overly crazy about the palate, a little too over the top on the spices, extremely herbal and almost bitter at times, only saving grace is the sweet malty background. Decent but not the best offering from Allagash. scraff (1602), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Jun 20, 2008 750 ml - Dark hazed amber, thick creamy white head with near perfect lacing. Soft caramel pear aromas ride lighter waves of crushed coriander and fuzzy fruits. Warming brings out light bready peppery-like tones. Yeasty dried apricot and peppery spice flavors round with a light hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry spiced finish. A very nice sipper on a cool spring night…. jcwattsrugger (3721), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jun 14, 2008 12 oz bottle-pours a big rich to shaving cream light tan head that laces and hazy amber color. Aroma is medium malt-musty caramel, herbal-ginger. Taste is lots of medium malt/grainy-musty caramel, secondary spices/herbal-ginger, faint medium/dark fruit, smooth, malty, yeasty. Nice mouth feel. Soft carbonation works well. carl4beer (215), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA Jun 13, 2008 750mL corked. pours hazy amber with a hard to control head. aroma is spicy with a bit of hop citrus. very pleasant on the pallet with some spice and balanced bitterness. seems to have a slight vinous note that were pleasant as well. phishpond417 (1110), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 12, 2008 Pours a foggy amber colour with a giant overflowing white head. The head sticks around until the end. nice retention and a sticky lacing residue left on the glass. Tastes of carmel, lightly roasted malts and a hint of cotton candy. Wicked nice!
