If I didn’t know better I would think it was an import. The aroma was a little weak but was fruity. Pour was a bubbly hazy red with no head. The taste was a nice balance of fruits and spice. The malt shows it’s head as well but is gone after the swallow. Nice. thegreenrooster (1852), St.louis, Missouri, USA

Finsih is dark fruits with a slight touch of alcohol. Very tasty and pleasing to all the sences. Easy on the wallet as well makes this one to look for. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 23, 2003 Pours copper, with a large white head and nice lacing. Yeast and bread in the nose. Citrus as well. Malt, yeast, and some hops comprise the flavors. Some sugar in the flavors as well. Medium body. A small spice filled palate makes this a fine belgian, but a bit too sweet for my liking. SudsMcDuff (1841), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

This is a beautiful looking beer, peachy-red with a creamy off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is yeast, fruit and sweet malts and spice - like a holiday fruit, herb and spice bread. Flavor is good, apricot, peach, allspice, nutmeg, pepper and citrus hops. Nice body, almost syrupy with creamy carbonation. Nice belgian style from the folks in Maine. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 15, 2002 Nice head initially but remind me more of soda bubbles than head. Carbonation continued to emerge for quite a while which was nice. Murky orange brown color. Initial aroma of flowers with a slight hint of alcohol. Initally bubbles in the mouth with a hint again of alcohol. Other flavors present in a complex assortment. Finishes creamy, dry and hoppy. A decent brew and one that should be savored slowly. thornecb (1819), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
