| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 14, 2005 Draft. Spicy aromas: ginger, coriander, cloves, and ripe fruit dominate the flavors of this beer. Aromas are lighter on this golden beaut. Yeast and the esters stand out. There is a richer background to the whole play here, too, with a lightly roasted, slightly nutty base to the beer. Full in the mouth and smooth on finish. Excellent American brew. malrubius (1005), Valley Stream, New York, USA

Slightly hazy reddish-orange with lasting pale orange head and lace. Orange-lemon-spicy-doughy aroma. Sweet and spicy with honey, candy sugar, peach, and spicy coriander and mild bitter finish. Medium-full body and medium carbonation. Has the soft mouthfeel of the best Belgian beers. Excellent. Zeswaft (1000), Seattle, Washington, USA

Strong yet off aroma. Rotten fruits and alcohol. Flavor is yeasty, fruits, kind of funky sourness. Definitely passed its prime (though i’ve never had it before). JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 30, 2003 Thin, quick-lasting head above a body that looks like ginger ale mixed with iced tea. Floral hops, cherries, cinnamon, cloves, maple and apricot in the nose. Taste is malty with lots on the palate: most distinctly, orange zest, clove, sugar, licorice, and faintly, buttery maple. Delicious, strong taste that feels full in the mouth. I couldn't detect any alcohol flavor and was actually surprised to find the ABV over 7%. Aftertaste goes from malty sweet to hop bitter (IPA strength hops here) giving this beer perfect balance. I'll admit, the appearence of the beer was a little unsettling but once I sniffed it I thought it'd be great, and sure enough the taste more than confirmed it. Great beer! urbnhautebourg (974), Annapolis, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 1, 2002 Beautiful Belgian spice and swell alcohol in the nose with a full body and perfectly complimentary malt flavor. So wonderfully balanced, with all the right Belgian flavors. A real pelasure. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 15, 2004 Pours a cloudy-orange with an off-white frothy head. Smells very sweet. Aroma remind me a lot of a honeydew. That is a mighty smooth beer. Could actually use a little more roughness. Sweet honey-like taste. I need to get a 750 of this!
