Big estery nose with clove and strong bitterness or peppery earthiness in addition to tart apples. Strong herbal, potpourri body with light tart apple and light fruits. The emphasis is on spicy esters, these and the light sour fruity funk creating a very Saison-esque beer. Very good, borderline excellent. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA

Medium body. Candy grape qualities. Hides alcohol well. Very easy drinking and could drink all day. Odeed (1673), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 5, 2007 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a hazy with with yeast swirls softly carbonated orange brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was malty coriander mild fruit and mild floral. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt hops spices and vinous. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 4, 2007 a big thanks to Schutzenliesel for this beauty...gorgeous, inviting amber pour with small off-white head gives rise to a mouthwatering aroma...strong and pungent, this beer is very flemish-like..massive berry/cherry body with vinegar, soy, must, and funky tart/sour notes..flavor is large in citrus with hints of cherry as well...dominated with a heavy yeast profile, this beer is subtly sour, and is very balanced in flavor...dense beer is very nice on the tongue...absolutely wonderful! pilsnerrogge (1773), Finspång, Sweden
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 3, 2007 January 2007 bottle Hazy amber colour. OK head. Aroma is quite vinous with notes of lambic and cherries. Flavour is pretty much like the aroma with an oaky bitterness added. A tasty and quite odd beer; the missing link between red wine and lambic.
