3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Vintage 2006. Poured in a goblet, aroma hits you from across the room, no need to stick you nose in the glass on this one! Big fruit, spice and brett on the nose. Flavor was cidery, they must have used a but load of sugar in this one, also oak, red wine, barnyard funk, brett, finishes dry. I liked this one, thought I found that the strong cider flavor took away from this beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Ellynís Tap & Grill in Glen Ellyn, IL., and dispensed to a fluted sampler showing a hazed but bright, golden color, with a frothy white layer, and spidery cling to the lacing. The nose was subtle, but pleasant funk & spice, pear, and light citrus. Light bodied, with nice effervescence, the taste offered some lemony tartness, finishing dryness, and boozy warmth. Very refined, and flavorful!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
@ Greenís Discount Beverage / Columbia SC --- Appealing clear bourbon color with a head that quickly drops to the rim, no lace. Taste is sour ale that draws on dry red wine in the palate for a unique taste. Sour continues on through a lingering finish. This is not your typical brew - more like a barleywine than a Belgian. Recommended.
