3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft from Churchkey in DC, and to be honest, Iím glad I never plopped down the bread for a bottle. Poured bright reddish amber with a thin foamy white head. Nose is wood, grapes skins, wine barrels, and a rather weak-seeming base beer. No real Brett notes and not super funky in any way. I expected something more tart/sour, and this is not that beer. Maybe another taste with different expectations will change my mind. Solid, for sure, but not all that.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Gorgeous caramel color, slightest hint of sour yeast on the nose. Palate is slightly sour lemon, evolving into pear, hints of caramel and toasted oak underneath. Long finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours is cloudy dark orange red, fizzy thin white head, gone quickly. Nose is raspberry, oak, brett funk. Taste brings raisins, tart cherry, more oak, hints of vanilla/caramel. Reasonably sweet with mild tartness. Quite nice, and really complex, but Iíd prefer more sour and less oak. But that is just personal preference--it is beautifully executed.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2012 Interlude draft @ Midway Pub. Loads and loads of brett here. Lots of fruitiness. Oak, sweet. belgian yeast, tid bit funky, caramel. Ok. But I have come to learn that I am not a huge fan of just brett.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
light amber-gold with a dusting of medium coarseness white head. Aroma is tart raspberry and cherry, a touch of pickle and a hint of horse and moderate citrus, but not in the hoppy way. Body is medium-medium-light, oily, (surprisingly heavy given the style.) Flavor is that taste thatís leftover in your mouth after youíve had orange juice, tart cherry, light grass. a short pulse of crisp bitterness electrifies the back/sides of my palate in the finish. Nice. Nothing amazing. I wish I didnít have a (mild) cold so I could see if I was missing anything... Definitely on the tart side. The wine barrels make it reminiscent of something thatís not here... cool!

2014 vintage. Pours a hazed orange color with a small white head. Aromas of wine and funk, some apple. Taste is semi sweet and lightly sour, some funk. Flavors of tart green apple, wine barrel, some sweaty brett. Finish is semi sweet and gently tart. Decent.

No long review. Drinkable but not my cup of tea. If the dominant taste is from the Brett then I may not be a Brett fan.
